Camden Court Gets 4 Star Upgrade
Dublin's Camden Court Hotel has earned an extra star in its copybook after an extensive recent investment in its facilities and service levels.
Now a four-star establishment, the hotel has been in operation since 1998, but had to up its game in recent years to cater for increasingly demanding corporate sector clients.
Camden Court Hotel comprises 251 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and 12 conference rooms.
Stephen Hanna, Camden Court Hotel's general manager, says that the upgrade began with a €10m investment in 2006 for a new restaurant and conference centre.
“This investment ensured that we thrived during the recession. Our competitive advantage during this time also gave the team the opportunity to focus on offering great value for money whilst continuously exceeding client expectation levels.
“It was a combination of both of these elements which has now put us in the enviable position of exceeding our former three-star classification.”
A further €3m was pumped in to the hotel this year to redesign the bedrooms, upgrade the IT infrastructure and train staff.
Says Hanna: “The most integral part of this upgrade is having focused our strategy on understanding our consumer and potential consumer needs and reacting to these needs by incorporating their feedback into our future services and offerings.” (September 2014)
