UPC Splurges €2m On Ads


UPC has launched its biggest ever new season kick-off with a €2m advertising and marketing campaign highlighting sports channel pricing and its Horizon TV service.

The €2m campaign includes TV and radio media advertising across the main national channels, with 45% of the budget targeting broadcast and the remainder focused on print, digital media and outdoor.

The broadcast campaign features the catchy single 'Plage' by Crystal Fighters.

UPC has also focused on radio station sponsorship for the first time as the sponsor of Premier League coverage on Newstalk's Off The Ball

UPC is offering Sky Sports at €1 a month for six months for all new Horizon TV customers. The offer saves new customers €204 on current prices for Sky Sports. 

The campaign was created by advertising agency Irish International and directed by Kevin Thomas, with media buying handled by Carat. (September 2014)
