O'Brien's Jobs Site Ramps Up In China
Online recruitment site ChinaHR, which is owned by Denis O'Brien and Leslie Buckley, is to undergo a €30m investment programme to ramp up its multi-platform recruitment services in China.
ChinaHR is the largest Irish-owned employer in China and the multi-million euro investment programme will focus on enhancing its mobile recruitment solutions and expanding its Chinese staff. China now has mobile penetration of 93% and some 300 million of its citizens search for jobs online.
Currently employing over 2,600 people, ChinaHR has been hiring staff for senior roles as it seeks to offer online recruitment resources on all touch points. In total, the company has invested around €100m in China since it entered the market there in 2006.
According to the firm's chairman, Leslie Buckley: “The Chinese economy is still strong, growing at approximately 7% per annum. This is good news for ChinaHR, as we continue to develop the future growth of the business. Our latest investment will continue to strengthen Ireland's business relationship with China, as well as contributing towards the further development of a leading edge online recruitment offering for China.”
ChinaHR is headquartered in Beijing and offers online recruitment, campus recruitment, customised staffing, executive search, short-term work force/HR outsourcing, staff hiring and agency services. (June 2014)
